Immigration is a complex and multifaceted experience that has been reflected in art throughout history. Moving home and life does not mean you forget who and what you are, how your identity is shaped and informed by your environment, I still feel connected to Ireland and proud to be Irish

Ann Cronin Art, based in Wellington, New Zealand, delves into the immigrant experience through the lens of science, nature, and social identity. Ann's background in Social Psychology, Neuroscience, and Pharmacology informs her thought-provoking pieces that explore the relationship between individuals and their new environments.

Ann's work acknowledges the immigrant’s status as a visitor in a new country. Through her art, she captures the sense of awe and wonder that often accompanies exploring a different culture and landscape. By incorporating elements of the natural environment and cultural traditions of Aotearoa, Ann's pieces offer a unique perspective on the immigrant narrative.
